we are 1 16 min from a day out in Futurescope.  So a nice base to see all the local attractions.

Aquarium de Limoges

Limoges Aquarium, 57 minutes for a trip to the aquarium and then lunch in Limoges.

Park Bellevue

Adventure park for the children 54 minutes.  Great day take a picnic and relax in your private above ground pool when you return.

Etang de Rochegaudon

Local beach lake only 24 minutes by car.  Beautiful lake surrounding with picnic areas and man made beach.

with slides, boating and children's playground.

Lac St Pardoux

Vast, picturesque lake with beach including inflatables, slides, picnic areas and indoor swimming pool.

 

La Dorat

Ancient Town with fine examples of Romanesque architecture.

Plenty to do in La Dorat with a Farmers Night Market, where you can pick meat of your choice cooked on the grills, with alfresco dining.

La Dorat is well known for its horse racing events in June, July and August, Concerts, a cinema, fishing and Christmas Markets it has it all.

 

The church of Saint Pierre with its fortified gate is a must see.

 

A weekly market day on Fridays 9-12

 

La Dorat is also renowned for principle breading of Anglo-Arabian horses.

 

Local shops off of the town square, café’s and restaurants where you can have your coffee and watch the life of La Dorat ……

Bellac

A small market town which has some medieval houses of interest. 13th century stone arch bridge across tranquil River Vincou, with its views across the town.

Market days on Wednesday and Saturdays – 9-12pm

 

Café’s and restaurant and supermarkets such as intermarche, Lidl and carrefour.

Birth place of famous writer Jean Giraudoux.

Historic monuments such as the church of Notre Dame.

Beautiful cobbled side streets.

Nouvelle Aquitaine (formally limousin is known as "The land of the lakes" and st pardoux is just one of them, including the beautiful nature trails.

plenty of fun for all the family and lovers of the outdoors, with numerous water sports at the lake beach.

pack a picnic and spend the day having fun in the water or just relaxing on the sand.

Mortemart

Classified as one of the most beautiful villages in the whole of France, the 13th century castle of Chateau De Mallent is open to the public.

Prices are €9 per adult and €5 per child entry fee. Explore the covered market hall in the town and two stunning monasteries.

Limoges

The city of Limoges is fantastic for shopping. Visit the shopping village or the town itself with timber framed houses, cafes and restaurants.

Limogue is well known for its pottery and fine art museum. For families why not visit the Aquarium du Limogue.
